John Newman was born in Sydney Australia. When he was around nine or ten he went completely insane. He tried to burn the house he lived in down. Although his effort didn’t work he was labeled as a criminal. But at his sentencing he was found insane. Ever since then he has been in and out of insane asylums most of his life. At the age of 16 he watched wrestling for the first time and wanted to become a wrestler in his own right. Doing backyard for about five years he finally tried to get into the AGW. And in 2002 at the age of 21 John Newman became an AGW wrestler. Within his first couple of months Newman went after a well-known superstar, Eric Von Doom. Eric and John would have bloody and painful matches a lot after this point in time. Late 2002 when Pishkiero joined the AGW Newman and his friend Alex Prolong he made the team well known as Insanity. After a while Newman became known as “The Insane One”. Newman also in his career would fight many legends of the AGW. Then finally in 2003 He became the AGW Cruiserweight Champion after defeating “The Legend Killer” Mark Paris. After winning this belt twice, Newman decided to go after the heavyweight title. Teaming up with Fire and Mandy John Newman would mess with the mind of Tom Tennant. After learning his lesson, Newman went back into going after single titles. Beating Ground Zero in 2004 to become the AGW North American Champion. After losing the title in a four-way elimination match Newman had a mental breakdown and went back into a funny farm.
