History

MacLeod entered Anything Goes Wrestling (AGW) as one of the founding members of Benaka's Alliance. Early on in his career, he defeated Doom to win the World Heavyweight Title. While his reign was short, it was a sign of great things to come for him. He had no consistant opponents and left the AGW with the rest of Benaka's Alliance over contractual disputes.

MacLeod then moved on to Limestone Championship Wrestling (LCW) version of his Alliance. MacLeod's new tag team partner was The Kurgan. Known as The Clan, they won the LCW World Tag Team Title very early in their stay. Unfortunately, the brass of federations are typically what drive Duncan away. Immediately after The Clan won the title, the fed became a booked fed.. MacLeod has always liked a one on one fight without someone else deciding the winner. In short, The Clan went out and did the job to two of the commisioner's men and then left LCW along with the rest of The Alliance.

Another version of Benaka's Alliance appeared in Recreational Fantasy Wrestling Federation (RFWF). Shortly after entering the promotion, Duncan teamed with stablemate,
Brian Kassinova to win The United States Tag Team Title from The Game Show Hosts (Bob Barker & Wink Martendale). After one defense, they fought in a unification match with the World Tag Team Champions, The Rotweillers. After three falls, MacLeod and Kassinova were the new World Tag Team Champions and the last United States Tag Team Champions. They were the only team to never lose the United States Tag Team Title. They reigned as champions for nearly a month before losing the title to The Knights of Thakisis (Arakian & Steel). At the next card, they won the rematch and became two time World Tag Team Champions. During the next two months, they would trade the title with The Summit City Smashers, bringing their grand total to 3 World Tag Team Titles. After being honored as The Greatest Tag Team in RFWF History, MacLeod split into singles competition and quickly won the Intercontinental Heavyweight Title. He reigned for several weeks before losing his title. Shortly thereafter, the RFWF closed its doors forever.

While MacLeod was RFWF I-C Champion, he entered Untamed Domain Wrestling Federation (UDWF) and became their North American Heavyweight Champion. He never lost this title due to the promotion closing with him as champion.

Duncan went on his own for once. He entered a brand new promotion, Extreme Internet Wrestling Federation (EIWF), and became their first World Heavyweight Champion after winning a battle royal. Again, MacLeod had problems with the president, and left immediately after losing the title.

He then headed South and teamed up with Methos as The Immortals to become the first Southern Champiobship Wrestling Association (SCWA) Tag Team Champions. They needed a rest from constant competition though, and left after dropping the title.

The entire Alliance took a well needed rest before returning to AGW. In his first match back, MacLeod called out Doom at a house show. Doom won, but MacLeod established himself as someone that wouldn't run from a challenge. Shortly after The Alliance had returned, AGW went on hiatus. This gave all Alliance members a chance to rest up.

The original Alliance members were all ready when AGW opened its doors again. His first success after coming back was when he defeated Anaconda for the Intercontinental Heavyweight Title. Fellow Alliance member, Scott Blanchard, went on to beat MacLeod for the title and then MacLeod turned right around and became a two time champion. All good things end though, and Duncan lost his singles gold to Shawn Michaels. Never one to be discouraged, The Immortals pushed on to defeat The Dark Church (Dark Rogue & Black Mage) for the World Tag Team Title. It was a short reign, as they lost the belts back to The Dark Church, but was a beginning for things to come. Their second tag title reign came at the expence of friends, The Legends of Tombstone (Wyatt Earp & Doc Holiday). Their second reign was nearly two months long. They were eventually upset by The Blood Pirates (Bilge Rat & Captain Blood). The Blood Pirates went on to lose the title to FISH (Anaconda & Brolly). Since Anacaonda couldn't hold the World and United States Tag Team Title, The United States Tag Title was vacated. The Immortals defeated The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) in the finals to become the new United States Tag Team Champions. They defended those belts with pride, but lusted for the World Tag Title again. Their return match arrived and The Immortals defeated FISH to become three time World Tag Team Champions. After about a month as World Tag Team Champions, The Dark Church ended The Immortal's reign. They waited for a return match and Duncan lusted for The World Title. The Immortals waited and were granted their return match for the World Tag Team Title at AGW's Lethal Lottery PPV. Earlier in the evening, MacLeod was forced to team with Steve Austin in the Lethal Lottery. Austin and MacLeod made it to the finals and lost. Along the way, they won five matches. All five were won by MacLeod after he executed The Quickening. For losing the final match, the two faced off for a shot at the AGW Anything Goes Title. After 10:15 MacLeod beat Austin with a rollover. Unfortunately, he came up short in his title match with Paris when he gave up to The Extreme Measure in 11:28. MacLeod was left with 2 hours 19 minutes and 27 seconds and no title to show for it. He had one more match though. He and Methos had their return match for the World Tag Team Title. After 22:54 of pure wrestling, The Immortals were four time AGW World Tag Team Champions. To top off the moment, AGW inducted the team into The Hall of Fame and it was announced that they had won The 1998 Slammy for Tag Team of The Year. The future looks very bright for Duncan in the AGW. As the next PPV rolled around, MacLeod developed a mean streak. He attacked The Dark Rogue before an I-C Title defense and then attacked him again before a World Title Match against Smooth Operator. Needless-to-say, Smooth Operator is still World Champion. While at the PPV, The Immortals were eliminated from the Tag Team Ringmaster due to a time limit draw with The Cowboys (Texas Whipper & Sloppie Joe) in Round Two. He was also eliminated from The Singles Ringmaster in the second round after a tough match with Joshua Gardner. The next PPV was one of the biggest of Duncan's career. The Immortals, Kid Nitro, and The Legends of Tombstone had been challenged by The Dark Church to a War Games Match. Dark Rogue returned from retirement for this match and it was full of bad blood. On the card, The Immortals were to defend their World Tag Team Title and MacLeod had to face Smooth Operator and Dark Rogue in a triangle match. After focusing on the War Games match during training, The Immortals let the World Tag Team Title slip through their hands to The Conveyors of Pain (Dan Sexton & Max Wagner). Later on the card, MacLeod was the first man in the ring for the War Games Match. After nearly an hour of pure mayhem, Methos won the contest by forcing Paladin to submit to The Attitude Adjustment. One last match to go. MacLeod faced off against Smooth Operator and Dark Rogue. Duncan was the most fatigued of all the combatants and it seemed that his opponents wanted to fight a handicap match against him. He absorbed The Back Stab from Dark Rogue and The Smooth Operation from Smooth Operator and still had enough to hit Smooth with The Quickening. It wasn't enough to save him from elimination, but it was a testament to the fortitude of Duncan MacLeod. After this grueling night, The Immortals took a vacation from AGW. MacLeod went back to his home in Glenfinnan and allowed some nagging injuries to heel as he got ready for a return shot at the AGW World Tag Team Titles. MacLeod stepped off the plane and was told my Hugh Fitzkairn that The Immortals would have The Conveyors of Pain for the World Tag Team Title at the next PPV. Duncan and Methos used their rested bodies and minds to overcome their opponents and became five time World Tag Team Champions in AGW. Not wanting to become complacent, The Immortals challenged The Blood Pirates to a World Tag vs. U.S. Tag Title match. After winning two straight falls, The Immortals were two time U.S. Tag Team Champions as well. They couldn't hold both titles and were forced to vacate the U.S. straps, but were allowed to determine the participants of the tournament to fill the vacancy. While organizing the tournament, they let a young team named The Violators (Magnum & Vice) to beat them in three falls to claim the World Tag Team Title. In singles competition, MacLeod defeated Clown Killer for the TV Title. He had a respectable reign before losing the title. As a team, they faltered and there was descension in the ranks. Fitzkairn pulled the team together and they survived a 32 team tournament to earn a shot at Jack Deth and Master Darque for the U.S. Tag Team Title. After a hard fought match, The Immortals had tag gold again. It would be short lived though. The Legendary Pretty Boys (Joshua Gardner & Ricky Thompson) came out of left field to dethrone the champs. MacLeod bounced right back to win the Anything Goes Title from Virgil Earp in a high school locker match. He is currently defending the title against all comers.

While competing in AGW, MacLeod and Methos carried their feud with The Rock 'n' Roll Express over to the American Wrestling Association (AWA) where The Immortals defeated The Rock 'n' Roll Express for the World Tag Team Title. The Immortals defended their title for a month. Then, the league closed with them still as World Tag Team Champions. Just before completely closing shop, the AWA inducted The Immortals into the AWA Hall of Fame.

MacLeod entered the Killer Wrestling Federation (KWF) as well. Shortly upon entering, he defeated Iceman to become Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion. On the same night, he was to team with Methos to wrestle for the World Tag Team Title. However, Methos was kept from the wrestling ring and MacLeod was forced to team with a man named Ash. They defeated When Worlds Collide (Half Pint & Aries) when MacLeod pinned Half Pint. Since MacLeod scored the pin, he and Methos became World Tag Team Champions. While he was enjoying immense sucess in KWF, the federation closed with MacLeod as Interontinental Heavyweight Champion and The Immortals as World Tag Team Champions.

While competing in several other feds, MacLeod joined Extreme Internet Championship Wrestling (EICW). Before he was able to really make his force felt, the front office closed the doors because they realized they didn't have the resources to make the league what it could have been.

With EICW gone, Duncan had some spare time. So, he joined New Generation Wrestling Association (NGWA). He wrestled through a sixteen man tournament; beating Marvelous Mark in the finals to win their vacant North American Heavyweight Title. He proudly held the title until NGWA closed shop with MacLeod as the reigning champion. A few months later, the league re-opened and The Immortals fought through a tournament to win the World Tag Team Title. They defended against everyone the league set before them and were still champions when NGWA closed its doors again.

MacLeod also competed in Extreme Wrestling Roleplaying Association (EWRA) where he and Methos were in a feud with Smooth & Sexy (Vulcan & Marvelous Mark), The Television Tag Team Champions. Smooth & Sexy always found a way to screw The Immortals out of tag gold. MacLeod faced some of the biggest stars of the league, but never really got off the ground as a star himself. The EWRA merged with Australian Wrestling Extreme (AWE) to form EAWA. With a new promotion, MacLeod hoped he could find his footing and move up the ranking to the gold that he deserved. Unfortunately, before he could prove himself, Benaka pulled him from EAWA's roster.

Smash Mouth Wrestling (SMW) was another of The Immortals homes. Just before the first PPV, the president disappeared from the face of the earth. As it stands, SMW appears closed.

Benaka brought The Immortals into X-treme Wrestling Association (XWA). MacLeod only wrestled one tag match before Benaka pulled The Alliance from the XWA roster so they could focus on more presitigious federations.

To further prove his dominance, Benaka entered MacLeod into Nitro Extreme Wrestling Federation (NEWF). The early going was rough. Duncan and Methos suffered two losses in a row and decided to part ways in NEWF. Both still remained as members of Benaka's Alliance and simply decided not to team in that federation. As Duncan floated the tag division with Kassinova and The Kurgan as his respective partners, Methos was busy trying to become the leader of Benaka's Alliance. The big man failed to win when a title was on the line and MacLeod teamed with The Kurgan to capture The NEWF United States Tag Team Title from The Disaster Brothers (Sinister Sean Blake & Blackheart Paul Vega) in under two minutes! MacLeod fought the entire match and proved why he is the leader of Benaka's Alliance. MacLeod & The Kurgan quickly lost the title and MacLeod looked to singles gold. He upset Bolo Yeung to win The United States Heavyweight Title. In a bizarre tag match Mac lost the strap to AGW owner, Speed Racer. Shortly after his loss, Benaka pulled The Alliance from the NEWF roster.

MacLeod re-joined his Alliance friends in AGW during 1999. The Alliance didn't have the time to make their time their the best it could be and the entire fed closed shortly after their return. They all took several years off and AGW opened its doors again in 2002. The Alliance was ready to join and show the world what AGW had been in the past and could be in the future. The Immortals tore up the tag division and earned a title shot at Heaven and Hell (Eric Von Doom & Ann Von Doom). In a surprise, Duncan was pinned by the young Ms. Von Doom and the titles didn't come home to The Immortals. Duncan was quite taken with his opponent and began courting her. They've become intimate friends as their relationship has progressed. In the mean time, Methos left MacLeod to puruse a single's career. While The Immortals will always be a team, there is more separation between the partners than ever before. At AGW vs. The World, Duncan advanced to the fifth round of the singles tournament by defeating The One Man Gang, Destany, Scorpio, & Black Mage before losing to Kid Gorgeous. As a team, The Immortals made it to the fourth round. They defeated Lars Ulrich & Fred Durst, Brazo De Oro & Brazo De Platino, & Derrrick Cassidy & Sydney Angels before losing to The Dead Boys. MacLeod also teamed with Dark Rogue and Smooth Operator to dissect young Cedric Donahue in a handicap match requested by Donahue. The match ended when Duncan pinned him after a Quickening.

To prepare for re-entering AGW, The Immortals went to New Zealand Championship Wrestling to hone their skills. MacLeod and Methos won two sets of World Tag Team Titles during their time in NZCW and left the promotion as champions so that they could focus their time and energy on AGW. Without Benaka's Alliance to sell tickets, NZCW folded.
