Cory didn't watch wrestling growing up and had no interest in the violence involved. Then when her father and sister (the latter of whom she is VERY close with) started to get involved in the wrestling business, Cory started to pay attention to it. She enjoyed watching her sister compete, and some of the more acrobatic and innovative performers such as Paige Vandenberg, Tempest and Moonspell. The violence still didn't appeal to Cory but she liked the storylines, and she liked the athleticism that these women showed. And like Kathryn, Cory definitely has a "girl power" philosophy, and she saw a lot of strong, admirable women competing in the AGW. It wasn't all about showing off one's body, it was about the spirit of competition.

     That said, Cory trained in secret with some AGW talent, and her training was paid for in full by Joseph, even though Cory was not old enough to actually compete. Through her senior year in high school, which she finished when she was 17....showing how bright young Cory actually is, Cory would spend many evenings and weekend "learning the ropes". Eventually she was given a special exemption to compete at AGW Ultimate Survivor 2005, and she showed a lot of promise in what little ring-time she got in the match, even inducing a "Holy S**t" chant from the crowd after hitting a Phoenix 720 DDT onto a chair on Mandy. Cory was eventually eliminated from the match by Fire, but it was a successful debut in a number of ways.

     Between November 2005 and March 2006, Cory simultaneously focused both on her studies at UCLA and training for AGW competition. When she was on the summer break after her first year of college, and at that point she had turned 18, Cory was officially signed to a contract with the AGW by Speed Racer and her sister Kathryn. Unfortunately her debut didn't go as planned for her debut in May of 2006 at the AGW's return show, Ringmaster 2006. Cory was brutalized by big man Jason Thorn before her match with Vanessa Abrams was to begin. Later, we discovered that all that was done at the behest of Cory's sister, who didn't actually want her to compete in the AGW.

     All that did was strengthen Cory's resolve however, and while she recovered from her injuries courtesy of Thorn, she continue to train and learn the sport. She also began dating another young up and comer by the name of Rick Fortune. Cory started showing up at ringside during his matches, and in fact spent most of her run to that point in the AGW being his second at ringside moreso than competing in the ring.

    Cory hopes to amaze the fans, and show off her gymnastic skills and eventually, of course, win the AGW Women's Title. But until then, she's just happy to be a true fan favorite still learning her craft.
