History:

The Black Knight aka Jake Page has always been one of the most intense competitors to step foot into a wrestling ring. He's also one of the few men who can claim to be a part of several of the greatest stables in the history of wrestling. He's been a part of the Dark Church, Corporation and LoS among others, always fulfilling an enforcer role.

Jake Page started out in the Rampage Wrestling Federation, where he was known as the Black Knight, and it was here that he learned the ropes and earned his stripes. Being only 19 when he started there, he had a lot to learn and often did so the hard way. After a couple of years in relative obscurity, he received a call from Speed Racer. Speed needed to bring somebody in to team with his friend, the Black Mage after his original partner, the Dark Rogue, was injured. Page quickly agreed and this was the early beginnings of his Dark Church ties. The Knight and Mage, known as Might And Magic, spent many months at the tag team midcard level, receiving tag title shots every so often and losing them all. This frustration became too much for the Knight to handle, as the politics behind the WHCW were not to his liking at all. Thus it was perfect timing when Speed started up the AGW, as both the Knight and Mage promptly left the WHCW and joined up with the Dark Rogue within the opening months of the AGW's run.

This was a life-changing event, as the Dark Church were one of the most powerful forces in the AGW's early history. Even today, several years after their departure from the world of wrestling in the U.S. they are still talked about. However, even after their great success (which I won't go into in detail...check out the Dark Church writeup in the Hall Of Fame for more detail), the Dark Rogue and Black Mage left the AGW insisting they accomplished all they came out to do. The Knight, having long been considered the third wheel and the sidekick of the other two, decided to stick it out and continue on in the AGW. During his AGW stint, the Knight won several Anything Goes Titles, the TV Title, several 3 man tag belts and most importantly to him, the IC Title. In fact, the Knight insists that his Anything Goes division feud with Mark Paris was part of what made Paris the great World Champ he became. Of course, the Knight also insists that he made Paris so miserable, Mark had to resort to illegal drugs. But at any rate, the Knight often found himself fighting alongside Speed Racer throughout his AGW career, thus making him an official Legion member.

In order to kind of start a new identity and career, the Knight went back to his original name, Jake Page, in both The TMW and the SCCW. His stints in both were relatively short however, as they would rather have had the name value of the Black Knight character. Thus no matter what he tried, the Knight was still in the shadow of his former stablemates. This disgusted him so much, he spent over a year out of the business from 1999 up to 2001. He then signed and wrestled in the TEW before it went defunct.

Disgruntled, Jake decided to take on a completely different gimmick. That of a boastful pretty boy stud type. For the first time in his career, Jake got to have some fun with wrestling again. He brought in an old friend and student of Speed Racer's named Lamar Lane, and they became the Studz-A-Plenty. Their FCW career only lasted a few months but they were one of the more dominating and underrated duos in the entire fed, winning the FCW tag titles twice. But they grew weary of the politics of the FCW and waited their contracts out. Lamar has turned to acting, although he could very well return to wrestling at some point. Jake, on the other hand, signed with the AGW the day his FCW contract ran out. Reuniting after years with the Dark Church, he hoped to revive his career once more.

While the Knight and the Dark Rogue all fared well in this new Dark Church, with the Knight nearing IC gold and the Rogue once again gaining the World Title. However, the pregnancy of the Rogue's wife, the White Rose, cut short their tenure in the AGW as the Rogue wanted to spend time with his love. The Knight, meanwhile, was trying to win back the hand of the woman he felt HE loved, in Moonspell. The two did have a serious relationship years earlier, and he wanted to rekindle that romance. Unfortunately for Page, Moonspell moved on and became engaged to Tom Tennant. Rather than take his anger out on Tom and Moonspell, the infuriated Knight decided that rather than stay in the AGW without ANY of his friends and allies fighting with him, he would go back to Las Vegas to rethink his future. Since 2002 and early 2003, Page was relatively inactive inside the wrestling ring, serving as a bouncer at both a well-known casino and strip joint and making a good living for himself inside the Sin City.

However in late 2004, Page got a call from Morrigan Anastasia, who was just coming into the AGW as he was on his way out. Morrigan knows that Jake still has a love for Moonspell, and she feels she knows Moonspell better than anyone. So Morrigan, with the financial backing of Cash Inc., made Jake an offer he couldn't refuse. Return to the AGW as a member of Cash Inc., and she would make sure he gets a second chance with Moonspell. Page, to this moment, doubts that will ever happen, but he finally felt "wanted" by someone in the wrestling industry, and he agreed with Cash Inc's ultimate goal of bringing WRESTLING back to the AGW. Having been away from the sport for over a year, he decided to accept the offer for to become "The Black Knight" Jake Page....fully embracing both his past identity and success, rather than feel restricted by it.

After Cash Inc. disbanded, and the AGW went out of business a couple of times, the Knight was truly questioning what he was going to do with himself. He didn't really want to retire quite yet, however he didn't welcome in the wrestling business. One quick phone call in 2006 changed all that, as the Knight got called by his former tag team partner Mace, who was wrestling in England. He needed a partner in the top league based out of London, and knew that the Knight had plenty left to give. They enjoyed some great success from 2006 until 2008 when they started a feud against each other. During that time, the Knight also met young Diana Stewart, the daughter of another one of Mace's former tag team partners: Mort Dredd of the Warriors Of Eternity. She was quite young compared to the Knight, but love doesn't see age. He helped to train her alongside women's star Rhapsody. And when the phone started ringing with an offer from the AGW, both jumped at the opportunity. The Knight then resolved any of his differences with the rest of the Dark Church, and on the first AGW show of 2008, the Knight and Rogue won the World Tag Team Titles. They lost it on their first defense, however for anyone who thought the Dark Church was done, they are sadly mistaken. With the Rogue's retirement in June 2008, the Knight wants to take more of a leadership role as the Dark Church will continue on, stronger than ever.
