Unfortunately, due to a number of real life complications, depression and all that happy stuff, the AGW was once again forced to close. Words can't describe how sorry I am to all of the great handlers whom I've disappointed with just "disappearing" off the face of the earth. I just needed to walk away from everything for a while. I'm sure you've all been there. Still wasn't the right way to go about things, but no use looking at the past like that. Personally for me things are a little better, but until I can get some sense of a routine I enjoy in real life, it's going to be hard to do anything as time-consuming as the AGW. Don't get me wrong, that time-consumption has almost always been a rewarding experience for me. So it's certainly not all negative. :)
So what does that mean? Is the AGW closed for good? I think it is. I think the league's run it's course. With real life wrestling simply sucking, I'm just not as into it as I once was. Hard to come up with a lot of enthusiasm when there's not much to the actual real life product. Plus I'm just tired of having the fed known for coming back for a few months, only to disappear when things get good. I'm sure you folks are tired of that too. Quite frankly, it's an embarrassment to me to admit defeat like that, but it's true. So I have to say that the AGW has finally reached it's end. Many thanks to the hundreds of handlers who have passed through, and even bigger thanks to those who have stuck around all this time. This was probably the most rewarding thing I have been a part of in my internet existence. I will have SO many memories that I'll look back on and smile about. So thank you all.
HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I am done with e-wrestling. And I may not even be done fed-heading. While the latter isn't in the cards right this second, I do have a few ideas running in my head from a small all-women's fed to a more collaborative fed-heading effort with people (rather than me making them work under this self-centered egomaniac...lol). Plus I plan on rejoining the UWL so some of you will see me there as a handler. If any of you start feds, you can count on me to advertise for it here, and in all likelihood join up as a handler. I'd love for you all to keep me up to date on what you've been up to!
The AGW was my baby, and it will always mean so much to me. So I will still update the site on occasion, since I'm still paying for the hosting. :) I also have ideas for some "unofficial" DREAM CARDS that I want to run. There are so many matches that we've all wanted to see that just have never happened. And while these dream cards won't actually count on win-loss records or in the big scheme of things, since many of the handlers involved won't even know about it, I think they could be a lot of fun. I mean, come on.....a tournament with the top wrestlers or tag teams throughout the history of the AGW? Who wouldn't want to see that? Helps that I still have all the old wrestlers on file!
So if any of you want to keep contact with me, you can at malekithxx@hotmail.com I will still leave the roleplay boards up, as well as the OOC board if you all want to chat. The contacts page will probably go away soon, so people don't get their e-mail addresses spammed by bots. So save the e-mail addresses you want to keep.
In closing, I wish things ended a tad more smoothly but I hope you all understand why I had to do what I did. And while this may be the end for the AGW, this isn't TRULY the end. Probably more like a new beginning. :) Thank you all for everything!
Sincerely,
Scott "Speed" Racer
