Speed Racer

Handler: Scott Racer

Height/Weight: 6'2" 232 lbs.

Finisher: Flatliner (super fisherman buster)

Inducted: January 2000

Brief History:
AGW Owner and President Speed Racer was given a Hall of Fame membership at the behest of arch-enemy Smooth Operator at the AGW Random Encounter card, which was the last card before the AGW's Second hiatus. This show of respect from his enemies definitely mellowed Speed out a bit, since he really did not deserve one as an AGW wrestler. However, Speed has always sporadically competed as necessary in the AGW as well as managing his many incarnations of the Corporation, stables which easily became the top heel stable whenever they were formed. With this, plus his drive and devotion to his league, the AGW, did not go unappreciated by the AGW wrestlers and so they all unanimously voted for him to gain membership into the Hall Of Fame in a secret ballot run by Smooth and Violet Morris. Speed did gain a few AGW Titles despite his part-time wrestling status and he now looks to compete full time as he gave up the AGW Presidency. He realizes that he can continue to have some more dream matches with men such as Mark Payne, Mark Paris and Most Holy that people have waited for. In fact, his series of matches with Most Holy that spanned over 4 different leagues are considered by many wrestling smarts to be the most technically sound and exciting wrestling series' ever.

Titles Held:
Speed has held the AGW World Title, the AGW World Tag Titles (with Mark Payne), and the AGW 3 Man Tag Titles 2 times (once with Kid Nitro and Craig "The Chef" Pearce and once with Holocaust and Cardiac)

Shawn Michaels

Handler: Alex Digiacomo

Height/Weight: 6'3" 249 lbs.

Finisher: Yahoo.Com Sassy Hops Superkick

Inducted: August 2000

Brief History:
Shawn Michaels has led an extremely controversial AGW career, with numerous problems in dealing with other wrestlers and management. But because he was the leader of the AGW's Degeneration X, did anyone really expect otherwise? After taking over the reigns of what would eventually become DX from the late Brian Pillman, Shawn Michaels formed a long-standing alliance with AGW veteran Quackman and AWA great, Terrance M. Garvin. These 3 combined to give the rest of the league headaches for years to come.....but even so, this group was undoubtedly one of the most beloved (when they wanted to be) and one of the most hated (which was the norm) in AGW history. Shawn's in-ring success is certainly without question, with numerous title reigns in singles, tag team and 3 man tag team matches to show his abilities. And while many of his angle ideas tended to border along the outrageous, some of them also proved to be some of the most entertaining. Michaels was also involved in one of the uglier backstage incidents in the AGW, as he and Garvin had a blowup with Speed Racer and some of the other AGW wrestlers which caused DX to leave the AGW in the middle of the AGW's World Tour for almost a year. After that time, sensing that a lot of crafty and heelish magic was lost with the departure of DX (and after creating a failed attempt at a heel stable himself), Speed Racer called Michaels, Quackman and Garvin back up and asked for their forgiveness since the problem was Speed's stubbornness in the first place. All 3 accepted the apology and continued where they left off, as one of the top heel stables ever known to mankind. And yet, they sell so much merchandise. Who knew? At any rate, Michaels deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame....and should have been in it sooner.

Titles Held:
Shawn Michaels is a 1 time AGW World Champion, 4 time Intercontinental Champion, 1 time TV Champion, and a 3 time 3 Man Tag Champ (w/ Terrance M. Garvin and Quackman)

Mark Payne

Handler: A.J. Angeloni

Height/Weight: 6'4" 287 lbs.

Finisher: Last Rites (inverted DDT)

Inducted: August 2000

Brief History:
Mark Payne had long been considered an untapped talent wherever he went.....a pro wrestler full of potential who had never realized it. Well, not to worry, if his AGW success isn't proof that those who thought of Payne to have potential, then nothing is. Mark Payne was without question THE megaheel of the AGW during 1999. The AGW had long needed someone to take over that position when Mark Paris left for unknown, sometimes lengthy periods of time.....and Mark Payne certainly filled that role with about as much zest and ability as humanly possible. A lot of the Internet AGW marks (most of whom were loyal Paris fans) considered Payne to be a two-bit ripoff of Paris....with similarities in appearance, wrestling style and interview style. However, they quickly realized that this was not the case....Mark Payne was definitely his own man with a style all to his own. He definitely become one of the most dominant wrestlers inside the squared circle as well, racking up the best overall record in the AGW over 1999 and 2000. Few men in the business could take over a wrestling match seemingly at will, as Mark Payne was able to consistently do. And this success was across the board too, as he could compete with equal skill in single, hardcore, and tag matches alike. In fact, he managed to carry Speed Racer to an AGW A.G. Tag Title reign despite the latter's career-long ineptness at such matches. And Payne also managed to carry his tag partner's 2nd incarnation of the Corporation stable and made it more successful than the 1st Corp. and the New Dangerous Alliance before it. The 2nd Corporation was indeed dominant and there really was no force capable of bumping them off....the only way the group folded was because of internal jealousy and problems. Mark Payne is truly a one of a kind wrestler and was a shoe-in once he became eligible for the AGW Hall Of Fame.

Titles Held:
Mark Payne is a 2 time AGW World Champion, 1 time TV Champion and a 1 time Anything Goes Tag Team Champ (w/ Speed Racer)

Extremely Hardcore Brawler

Handler: Ben Zupnik

Height/Weight: 6'5" 325 lbs.

Finisher: Full Nelson.......Of Pain

Inducted: August 2000

Brief History:
The Extremely Hardcore Brawler (or E.H.B. for short) was one of the most unintentionally popular wrestlers of the AGW in 1999. In fact, it says something that he was only in the AGW for a little less than a year but is still inducted into the Hall Of Fame...in fact, that is indeed something no one else in the Hall can say. And his name states exactly what he was, if it wasn't a hardcore rules or a gimmick match of some sort, he hated it. And his numerous Anything Goes singles and tag title reigns back this fact up. Even though he ended up consistently ranked high enough to compete for the Intercontinental and World Title, he would only fight for them begrudgingly. His only love was the hardcore division and a good match to E.H.B. is one that both he and his opponent bled buckets. Winning and losing didn't matter to E.H.B. as much as hitting his opponents with his trademark chair that had "Ass" written on it. His hardcore matches with men like Tom Tennant and Blackhawk McKnight elevated all to "cult superstar" status and were part of the reason why those two were so respected when the AGW restarted in 2000. And his New Death Sensation tag team with good friend, El Diablo, were quite successful in their own right, including being the last team to hold the Anything Goes Tag Titles. Unfortunately, E.H.B. decided against an AGW return when it restarted, much to the chagrin of fans, peers and front office alike. But since then, he's carved his own niche over in Japan where he continues to wrestle in some of the damnedest, most hardcore matches ever. A true hardcore legend.

Titles Held:
E.H.B. is a 6 time Anything Goes Champion, a 2 time World Tag Champion (once with Blackhawk McKnight and once with El Diablo) and a 3 time Anything Goes Tag Champion (w/ El Diablo)

Alex Star

Handler: Ted Thomas

Height/Weight: 6'6" 273 lbs.

Finisher: Starscream (achilles tendon hold)

Inducted: August 2000

Brief History:
Alex Star is a man who had great success in many other leagues before even joining the AGW. This past success molded the arrogant and cocky attitude that made him a top AGW heel early in his career, and his excellent ability to mold the fans' opinions of him eventually turned him into a top face later in his AGW career. He's been on both sides of the fence from time to time, but one thing that never changed was his success in singles matches. Not only that, but his tag team with "El Loco Luchador" Joaquin Campos could very well be in the top 5 AGW Teams in history just due to their excellent win-loss record. Alex Star was a major force in the "Anti-Corporation-Crew" along with Gryphon that made Speed Racer's second attempt at a superpower heel stable a failure. However, Alex Star, is not one to be overshadowed by anybody and that is why any outsider he teamed with eventually became an enemy with the exception of Campos. He has formed alliances with Terrance M. Garvin, Tom Tennant and Speed Racer, but Alex Star's competitiveness was often misinterpreted by his allies, and thus his alliances were short-lived. Star was one of the top wrestlers in the league during the year of 2000 until his sudden disappearance and the league's subsequent folding in September of that year. But his AGW accomplishments cannot be denied, and he was respected in most circles.

Titles Held:
Alex Star is a 1 time AGW World Champion, 3 time World Tag Champion (once w/ Joaquin Campos and twice w/ Terrance M. Garvin), 3 time Intercontinental Champion and a 1 time U.S. Tag Champion (w/ Joaquin Campos).
