Heaven’s Not Overflowing

And on October 18th

All Hell Breaks Loose

(“New Breed” by Fear Factory plays as the FCTV intro gets started. As the highlight package comes to a close, we cut to the sold out FCW Arena. The camera pans to catch as many of the fans in attendance as possible before cutting to the announce table.)

Kevin Cole: FCTV is on the air! We’ve got a great show for you and, while I wish I could tell you what the main event is, I can’t.

Nik Cain: I checked with every contact I have but it seems like Crawford has kept this decision from everyone.

Kevin Cole: At any rate, Jean will defend the World Title against someone in the main event. But, to start the show, we’ve got, not one, but two debuts! John Tatum will take on Rocky McCray!

Nik Cain: I don’t know much about McCray. I’ve heard a few unconfirmed reports about him bouncing around a few indies, including a couple garbage promotions. He’s got the violent tendencies he’ll need to survive here but time will tell if he’s got the athleticism too. As for Tatum, he is a pure rookie, as green as they come. But he’s got the size and the training of former FCW star, Sambo. This should be an interesting contest.

(At this point the fans expect the arrival of Evenkiel. But, instead, “Smoke on the Water” blasts over the P.A. This is certainly not the theme music Evenkiel prefers to make his way to the ring to. Instead, James Crawford makes his way though the curtain, flanked by the Masked Fat Guys.)

James Crawford: Sorry gentlemen. I know you were all chomping at the bit, just itching to get a piece of Evenkiel. But, unfortunately, the plan has changed a little bit. I was thinking and it occurred to me. I am going to give Evenkiel the one thing he wants the least. It’s not the threat of being put in a flaming casket or through a few panes of glass. Tonight, Evenkiel will get...a World Title shot!

(The crowd is in shock at the announcement. Crawford simply makes his way backstage as the crowd slowly starts to either cheer or jeer the decision depending on their own opinions.)

Kevin Cole: I cannot believe it! James Crawford has just awarded Evenkiel a shot at the World Title!

Nik Cain: I wouldn’t use the word “awarded”. It’s more like he punished him with one, if that makes any sense. I can’t say I agree with this decision, as Evenkiel would be a disgrace to that belt, no matter what a select segment of the fans now choose to believe. Then again, if he does win the strap, the rest of the guys will want his head even more badly than they do now. Perhaps this wasn’t such a bad idea of Crawford’s part.

Kevin Cole: In any case, we still have a triple threat Glass Death Match to get to!

Nik Cain: Even without the possibility of Evenkiel going through some of that glass, this should still be one hell of a match.
