FCW presents
Civil War
(“New Breed” by Fear Factory plays as we are treated to a slightly updated version of the FCTV intro. Some old faces have been replaced and some more recent event highlights have made their way into the mix. As the intro ends, we cut to a live shot of the FCW Arena. Holiday or no holiday, the FCW faithful are in attendance but many have brought patriotic signs and banners. After panning the crowd for about a minute, the camera cuts to the announce position.)

Nik Cain: Sparks are definitely gonna fly in that one.

(“Smoke on the Water” by Deep Purple plays as James Crawford makes his way to the ring, sporting a shiner from the super kick he took from Shawn Michaels last week. Despite that, he seems to be in good spirits.)
James Crawford: So we’re a little more than a month a way from our next pay per view. You guys still remember the last one, right?
(Big pop from the crowd.)
James Crawford: Good. Well, come August, FCW is going to have itself a little Civil War. It’s been a couple years since we’ve had a real Civil War, since last year we had to prove to the establishment that FCW was no joke and was not going any damn where.
(Another pop.)
James Crawford: So tonight it is my pleasure to announce the two team-captains for this year’s event. The first is none other than the current FCW World Champion and the One Man Riot, Hazard.
(The crowd pops though there is a number of boos mixed in with the cheers.)
James Crawford: And the other captain will be the first man to sign an FCW contract, the eND Bringer, Oblivion.
(Another big reaction from the crowd consisting mostly of cheers but with a few boos as well.)
James Crawford: Those are the captains and, over the next few weeks, they will assemble their teams. As was the case the first time around, the winning team will receive a sizeable cash prize and the surviving members of the team will get the title shots of their choosing. It should be one hell of a show. Oh, and before I got, I got a few words for Shawn Michaels. The second you signed your contract you became my property. By the time your current run in FCW is over there will be nothing left of you. Mark my words. This isn’t going to be a career move for you; it’s going to be a prison sentence. And your term starts tonight.
(“Smoke on the Water” begins to play again as James Crawford makes his way to the back.)
Kevin Cole: Hazard and Oblivion will be the team captains for this year’s Civil War!
Nik Cain: Both men are natural born leaders. Hazard has already run the very successful Devil’s Dance Inc. stable and Oblivion, well he’s got his own little Manson family thing going on as we speak.
Kevin Cole: And what about Crawford’s words for Shawn Michaels?
Nik Cain: Michaels has no love for wrestling which begs the question of why he came back? Sure, he’ll make some money and get his face on TV but Crawford and the rest of the FCW roster is looking forward to making his life hell. You simply don’t walk into the FCW Arena and disrespect us, unless of course you don’t plan on walking back out.
Kevin Cole: Well, back in the ring, we are ready for more action as Brad Steel takes on Comedy!
Nik Cain: Steel and Blaze are on a collision course but Comedy is a 550-pound bump in the road.

Kevin Cole: Up next, Shawn Michaels makes his FCW return against The Messenger in a Death Match!
Nik Cain: That means you gotta score three straight falls to win this match. And, trust me, a lot of guys aren’t too thrilled about competing in matches for one fall against The Messenger. This is the guy who broke Rocky McCray’s back. This is the guy who reduced John Tatum’s ankle to dust. This is the guy who burned Sudden Death’s face beyond recognition. And this is simply the first of many long nights for Shawn Michaels.

(Before the match can begin, the lights in the arena flicker. “Locust Star” by Neurosis begins to play and Oblivion makes his way down to the ring with both the Messenger and Jay Reno behind him. Despite his match earlier and the large gash that’s been sewn up on his forehead, The Messenger’s demeanor is as calm and unemotional as ever. Reno, on the other hand, seems very addled, tugging frantically at his own hair. All three men get down to the ringside area, step over the guardrail, and take front row seats.)

Scourge looks at this, not sure what exactly to make of it. Consequently, he does not really notice The Messenger come over the rail. As he catches him out of the corner of his eye, it’s too late. The Messenger has already thrown a vicious forearm shot at the back of the new World Champion’s head. With Scourge staggered, The Messenger drops him with a brutal running clothesline to the back of the head. He then drops down on the fallen champion and begins to pummel him with lefts and rights. This goes on for several seconds before security can rush to the ringside area and work to pry both Reno and The Messenger off their respective victims. All the while, Oblivion just stands in the background, enjoying the chaos he has helped to orchestrate.)
Kevin Cole: Chaos has broken out at ringside! There are fists and feet flying all over the place! But the real story is that Scourge is the new FCW World Champion!
Nik Cain: He sure as hell didn’t get a chance to celebrate as Oblivion has obviously instructed his men to take out both Hazard and Scourge.
Kevin Cole: Security is still trying to regain order down here but we are desperately out of time! Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend and tune in again next week! Until then, this is Kevin Cole for Nik Cain saying goodnight!
