Kevin Cole: And this one is over!
(As soon as the bell
rings, the lights go out in the arena.)
Kevin Cole: I’m sorry, folks, but we seem to
be experiencing some sort of power failure.
Nik: Yeah right. With all the times that the lights go out at wrestling events,
I'm surprised there haven’t been a lot more crimes committed in the audience.
(A single spotlight hits the entrance way. Out into it walks the “hooded man”
from last week.)
Man: You know Oblivion, your uncle can screw
me over and he take what is mine. But me, well I can do this.
(The lights in the arena come back on and we see Oblivion covered in honey.
Oblivion, rather displeased about being covered in honey, slowly marches up the
ramp, stalking the hooded man, who stands his ground. Right as Oblivion is in
striking distance of the hooded man, we find out why he was so brave. Two other
hooded figures leap out from behind the curtain and throw buckets filled with
something on Oblivion. This gives the hooded man the chance to hit Oblivion in
the head with a steel pipe, knocking him out cold.)
Man: Now, if you were actually conscious
right now, I'm sure you'd be pondering what was thrown on you. Well, to put it
simply, it was red ants. Have fun! End Scene.
(The hooded man and
his two hooded partners in crime leave Oblivion, out cold and being bitten by
hundreds of red ants. Security and medical personnel quickly rush to his aide
but are obviously pretty stumped with regards to how best to remedy the
situation.)
Kevin Cole: Oh...my...goodness!
Nik Cain: How about we actually get someone out here who knows what the hell their doing instead of having half a dozen guys standing around with their thumbs up their asses.
Kevin Cole: And what was that stuff about “end scene” all about?
Nik Cain: Well it was a reference to Sambo and, if you ask me, it was a pretty obvious red herring.
Kevin Cole: Then who the heck is underneath that hood?
Nik Cain: I’ve got two or three logical candidates, though this Jackass worthy stunt has helped me narrow that field down a bit. Anyway, it looks like Oblivion has finally been helped to the back so how about we get to this next match?
Kevin Cole: And what a match it is! Scourge will challenge Hazard to a non-title, falls count anywhere, match! This will be Hazard’s first match since the blood bath in which he won the title from the now-retired Mark Payne!
Nik Cain: I think Payne’s retirement forced Scourge to wake up and realize that Payne was just using him. By having Scourge as his lackey, he knew he’d never have to defend the belt against him. But, with Payne gone, Scourge’s sights seem to be set squarely on the World Title once again.
