It’s Only The End Of The World
(As those words fade, we cut to the regular FCTV intro. As it closes, we cut to a live shot of the FCW Arena. After panning the crowd, we cut to the announce table.)
Kevin Cole: FCTV is on the air! We’ve got a big show for you tonight including a main event featuring the Nightmare Express and the Crusaders doing battle for a shot at the World Tag Champions! And speaking of the tag champions, they’ll be in action first...against each other!
Nik Cain: Crawford is obviously looking to create dissention in the ranks. Whoever loses the match may have an axe to grind with the winner or at least I assume that’s what the boss is hoping for.
Kevin Cole: Let’s get to the ring!
This contest is scheduled for one fall.
Introducing first...
From Philadelphia, Pa...
Weighing in at 255 pounds...
Brad Steel
("You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar..." by
Queens of the Stone Age plays as one half on the reigning FCW World Tag Team
Champions, Brad Steel, appears on top of the ramp way. The fans begin to boo in
unison as
he salutes the crowd. After soaking in the warm reception, Steel makes his way
to the ring. He reaches the ring, hops up tot he apron and slingshots himself
over the ropes. He struts around the ring, every few steps, salutes the fans as
they grace him with boos. He motions for the mic and the Ring announcer tosses
it to him.)
Steel: Thank you, thank you! You are too
kind, too kind. You know a lot of people of been asking me questions lately.
Like for instance, "What happened to you and the Aces?" "Why did you team with
Sambo instead of with Nimrod to win the Titles?" All very intriguing and thought
provoking questions but all in all, they’re just crap. People are always
starting rumors about me. I'd like to squash a few of those right now. I would
like for my good friend and fellow Aces member, Nimrod to please come out the
ring.
("Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima" by
Krzysztof Penderecki plays as the behemoth known as Nimrod makes his way to the
ring.)
Steel: Like I was saying, rumors are flying
every which way nowadays about the Aces of Fortune. Are we still together? Can
we all coexist as a team? Well, I don't about Ol' Freeky Deeky Behind me but I
sure as
hell can't stand the idea of being in the so called "Group" any longer. It all
came down to personal glory. Darian had his moment in the light, his fifteen
minutes as World Champion and he thought he was top dog and he lived that way.
He was always surrounded by wom...I'm sorry, not women...bitches, Cristal and
the such. Drove me nuts, he's such a poser, never really knew how to keep it
real on the home or work front.
Then there was Aaron Riddick. Man, don't even get me started on that guy.
Then there is Nimrod,
a truly excellent partner. We were truly on the cutting edge as the new team in
town cutting people down left and right. Then came the big match. The Aces vs.
The Horsemen, World Tag Team Titles on the line. Remember that night Nimrod?
That was supposed to be our night in the spotlight, our night to finally put our
notch on the belt, our revenge for everything the Heretics did to us. Yet...
(Steel turns and glares at Nimrod.)
Steel: You went and F***ED It all up! You cost me my glory and revenge, Nimrod.
It was you who turned his back on the Aces just like Blaze did. I never left
the Aces, my heart was always there but later that night when I found out I was
teamed with Sambo in the Lottery, I knew things would go farther than you could
ever dream...and they did. I am now one half of the tag team champions,
something you could have never been. Why? Simple, you’re a failure.
(Steel reaches back and slaps Nimrod right
across the head. Nimrod looks down and shoots Steel such a stare it almost
makes him drop a load in his tights. Steel swing at Nimrod but Nimrod grabs him
by the
throat and tries to hoist him up for a choke slam but Steel retaliates with a
swift kick to the crotch. Nimrod doubles over in pain and Steel hooks him in for
a massive Steel Driver.)
Cole: Steel plants Nimrod with a Steel
Driver!
Cain: But I don’t think it had the effect that Steel assumes it’s had.
(Steel begins to celebrate but then slowly
turns around to see that Nimrod is already standing again. Before he can run,
the wind is knocked out of him by a wicked kick to the gut. Nimrod sets Steel up
for the ride and then WHAM! Thrill Kill in the middle of the ring. Nimrod
looks down at Steel and then leaves the ring area.)
Cole: Steel is now lying in a crumpled heap in the center of the ring...and he
still has a match!
Nik Cain: Maybe Sambo will take it easy on him, but that’s certainly not a guarantee. Tag team partners or not, neither man likes to lie down for anybody.

Kevin Cole: Yes! This one is over!
Nik Cain: Zion may have come up on the losing end of this one but he damn sure showed me a lot. If Jean thinks he’s just gonna walk all over this guy, he might be in for a rude awakening.
(Despite the beating he has sustained, Chris Zion is already once again getting to his feet. Onslaught is about to leave the ring but looks over his shoulder to see this. He shakes his head a little in disbelief and walks back over to Zion.)
Kevin Cole: What is going to happen here?
(The crowd is anticipating violent confrontation but Onslaught merely extends his hand in a rare sign of respect. Zion doesn’t seem to want anything to do with it but after a stare down of sorts, very quickly shakes Onslaught’s hand. There is no trick, and no further interaction. Onslaught calmly leaves as Zion continues to recover in the ring.)
Kevin Cole: A show of sportsmanship between Onslaught and Chris Zion!
(“I Stand Alone” plays throughout the arena. Dressed in a black pair of jeans and a muscle shirt, Jean walks from behind the curtain, with a mic in hand. Onslaught expects Jean to make a move, but the former World Champion makes none. Onslaught passes Jean, keeping his eye on him just in case. Jean gets to the ring where Zion stands, not happy about this turn of events. Jean casually smiles as his music dies. Bringing up the mic, he begins.)
Jean: Gee, Zion, I expected you to be little more excited about my sudden appearance. After all, I am the man who’s going to soon show you the ropes of the business. It’ll be a silent lesson, though, save for your screams and cries of mercy, which will fall on deaf ears. You see, I happen to remember you asking something along the lines of why I would want to be a piece of filth with no heart.
(At this point, Jean sounds as though he’s a hurting innocent.)
That really hurt my feelings, Zion. You think I’m garbage?
(This time, Jean’s expression changes from one of innocence to seriousness.)
I’ll give you one thing; you came close when you said I had no heart. You see all your biblical talk has started to get annoying, because when you speak it, I vomit because you try and act like something you’re not. Trying to help me, you say? I think not, kid. All you’re trying to do is something everyone has tried to do but failed, much like you will fail just the same. You’re going to try and put an end to me? Ask anyone in the back that I’ve fought before. I would suggest going to Payne first, though. He was the first to try and end my career, and he failed miserably. From there ask anybody. They’ll all give you the same answer. Anything they’ve ever tried to do to me has only slowed me down a little. As a matter of fact, the cards always turned on them and they ended up being punished for their antics.
(The arena suddenly goes pitch black. As fans scream in bewilderment, you get the cold sense that something sickening is happening, and those senses prove to be true as the lights cut back on to show Zion laying in the middle of the ring with blood pouring from his forehead. Jean is shown standing over him with his sledgehammer dangling at his side. A grin appears on Jean’s features as fans give a mixed reaction to the result of the carnage that has just taken place in the darkness. He leaves the ring, only to pick up the mic he brought out with him, and finishes with this last statement.)
So Hell’s following you, eh? Well, answer me this. When the time comes, whom do you really expect Hell to aid?
(Jean then makes his exit.)
Kevin Cole: Jean has busted Chris Zion wide open with that sledgehammer!
Nik Cain: The feud between these two promises to only get worse before it gets better. And now you’ve got to wonder if Jean’s old nemesis, Onslaught, might somehow become a factor in this equation.
Kevin Cole: Well, back in the ring, we’ve got a triple threat match up next featuring the three biggest men in FCW!
Nik Cain: Yep, you’re gonna see a total of about 1350 pounds of humanity in that ring.

(With no music, with no fanfare, with no spectacle, Hazard heads to the ring wearing street clothes. Cargo pants, a black "One Man Riot" shirt, tennis shoes. It's obvious he is not here for a fight, at least not immediately. He grabs a microphone and rolls into the ring and blocks the way of Payne. Payne tries to brush Hazard aside, but unlike two weeks ago when Hazard willingly stepped aside, he pushes the World Champion back towards center-ring.)
Hazard: Not this week, Mark. You're not going to dismiss me and pretend I'm not here. I know how much it would please you to do that, but I'm not going to let it happen. You see we've got business to discuss. There's a pay per view coming up, I do believe. And from where I sit, it doesn't look like you've got anybody to keep you occupied. Far be it from me to leave an FCW pay per view lacking. The problem is, you don't seem to think I'm worthy of gracing the ring with you. You see me as just another victim to dispose of in FCW and then you can be on your merry way, prancing and frolicking through the roster that you assume cowers in fear of you. Look at my eyes, Mark. LOOK AT ME! Do I look like I'm afraid of you? Do I look intimidated? If you read fear in my eyes, then you're illiterate. We're two sides of the coin, Mark. You're polished, you're graceful; you've been born and bred to perform in this industry. Me? All I know how to do is fight. Somewhere along the way, I learned how to drop somebody on the back of their head and figured out that it was a real effective way to keep them down for a few seconds - just enough for me to collect a paycheck. And you know what? I've collected a few paychecks in my day.
(Payne appears to be growing bored, shifting his FCW World Title belt back and forth from shoulder to shoulder, looking all the world like a third grader stuck in a debate on the metaphysical properties of the human soul when he'd rather be playing whiffle ball.)
In fact, Mark...I believe one of the larger paydays I've collected was just about a year ago. You know what I'm talking about, don't you? I know you haven't forgotten. But just in case you did...let's look at the big screen together, shall we?
(Hazard points to the screen over the entranceway, placed there for the benefit of the audience...and on cue, the following scene unfolds:
...Mark
Payne executes the Superstar Superkick.
Mark Payne goes for a crucifix power bomb, but Hazard counters it with a
backslide.

Hazard tries to put Mark Payne in the Box full of broken glass, nails, and
thumbtacks.
Hazard stuffs Mark Payne in the Box full of broken glass, nails, and thumbtacks.
(At this point Hazard steps in the box as well. He picks up Payne and proceeds to do the unthinkable. He executes the Flatscan on Payne, sending both crashing down into the broken glass, nails, and thumbtacks. For seconds that feel like minutes, there is no movement from the box. Finally, a bloody Hazard crawls out.)
Kevin Cole: Oh dear lord!
Hazard closes the lid.
Kevin Cole: Hazard wins! Hazard wins! We have a new FCW World Champion!
(As the camera finds it's way back to the ring, Mark Payne is seething as Hazard grins at him.)
You said I wasn't your equal, Mark. You know what? You're right. When it comes down to you and me, with the world watching, with the FCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line...I'm not your equal...I'm your superior. Just short of a year ago, I took your title. And on Valentine's Day of this year...when we were both given the same opportunity to walk out with the title strapped around Jean's waist, you choked...I delivered. Listen to me Mark, and listen real good. When it comes down to crunch time...I'm 2-0 against you. How bad does that eat you up? Huh? How bad? And you don't have to answer me Mark…just look in the mirror and ask yourself...how badly does that scare you? But don't worry champ. This time...it's not about this.
(Hazard leans forward and slaps the belt out of Payne's hands and watches it hit the mat. Payne watches the belt drop, then almost instinctively reaches out with a slap that draws blood from the corner of Hazard's lip. Hazard grins and backs out of the ring, leaving the FCW World Champion to pick up his title and figure out exactly what's going on.)
Nik Cain: It looks like Hazard is working his way inside Payne’s head. And there is no doubt that you do not want Hazard inside your head. But, honestly, I don’t think Payne’s head is somewhere you want to go. So perhaps these guys are both in for some hard times in the near future.
Kevin Cole: It would certainly seem so! But right now, Tragedy takes on Jean!
Nik Cain: Comedy brought new meaning to the term “squash match” last week when he beat Jean last week with the Encore. This promises to be a much more evenly matched contest, and a much faster paced one as well.

He hits him about a dozen times and blood pours freely from his mouth, nose, and above his right eye. Monarch grabs Blaze by the back of the head and shoves him down to the mat. He waits for Blaze to struggle up to all fours before laying a boot into his ribs. He does this repeatedly while shouting, “get up and fight me, bitch” and other similar taunts. Finally he lets Blaze get to his feet, now holding the nightstick like a club. He measures him up and just waits for him to turn. As soon as he turns to face Monarch, Monarch blasts him in the head with the nightstick, sending his now-limp body crashing to the canvas. He holds his arms out as he stands over the body of Darian Blaze, shouts insults at Lauren Washington, and seems to truly enjoy every boo and every piece of garbage hurled his way.)
